Multiple Research lets a player select a target technology level and complete several upgrades in one operation. The convenience has an important restriction: the selected levels must be completed instantly with Speedup items or Gems. The process cannot run over time and cannot use Alliance Help.
Evony introduced the feature in the Version 4.96.1 changes released with Version 4.97.0. The same update added category progress percentages above research icons. See the official update announcement.
Pre-Confirmation Workflow
- Select the technology.
- Read every prerequisite for the target level.
- Choose a conservative target rather than the maximum immediately.
- Review total Speedup or Gem cost shown by the interface.
- Check whether the result blocks another priority.
- Confirm only after recording the before state.
- Verify the final technology level and remaining balances.
When Multiple Research Is Useful
Use it when prerequisites are already satisfied, the technology is a confirmed priority, and the instant-completion cost is acceptable. It is less suitable when the player expects Alliance Help, wants to preserve flexible Speedups, or has not reviewed the intervening levels.
Resource Planning Without Confusing Costs
Multiple Research is paid instantly with Speedups or Gems according to the official rule. Regular city preparation may still involve resources elsewhere, but RSS does not replace Speedups, Gems, research items, or prerequisites.
For separate four-resource planning, EVONY RSS lists 30B, 50B, 100B, and 200B packages with equal splits across Food, Lumber, Stone, and Ore. Larger plans include 500B and 1T. Always calculate whether all four resource types are useful before comparing unit price.
