Plan the territory change before activating the reward. A larger Glory Castle footprint is useful only when the Alliance knows how it will reorganize borders, buildings and member expectations.
Evony's Season 14 announcement said Major League Alliances obtaining Rhodes could upgrade Alliance City to a level 4 Glory Castle with expanded territory. Rhodes – Sacred Radiance enabled level 5 and an even larger territory. Both were viewable through Alliance City and Glory Castle. See the official Season 14 announcement.
Direct answer
Before upgrading, map the current border, identify valuable spaces and assign one leadership group to approve changes. Do not treat “larger” as a complete placement strategy.
Actionable planning steps
- Capture the current Alliance territory map.
- List buildings and resource areas near the border.
- Confirm which Glory Castle reward is actually owned.
- Read the live footprint preview.
- Communicate the planned expansion direction.
- Upgrade during a low-conflict window.
- Verify the resulting border before moving anything else.
Decision framework
Expand toward space that supports agreed Alliance objectives and minimizes unnecessary conflict. Delay if leadership cannot confirm the footprint or neighboring arrangements.
Practical example
An Alliance earns level 5 access and upgrades immediately. The larger footprint exists, but members have no placement plan. A better sequence is preview, coordinate, upgrade and verify.
Common mistakes
- Assuming level 5 chooses the best territory automatically.
- Moving buildings before viewing the new border.
- Confusing reward eligibility with automatic activation.
- Using old footprint images as current proof.
