Evony Voyage Ornament Exchange: Choose by Collection Value, Not Appearance

A ceremonial ship crossing a luminous sea toward a museum filled with ancient ornaments

When several ornaments are available, the safest choice is the one that improves a collection you can actually activate or advance. The exchange screen is a starting point; the Collections interface contains the buff context needed for the decision.

In Version 5.26.0, Evony added direct navigation from an ornament in the Voyage to Civilizations Exchange interface to its corresponding Collections page, where players can view attribute bonuses. The same update added level markers for ornaments already owned. See the official Version 5.26.0 announcement.

What the Two New Signals Tell You

Collection navigation shows the real destination

An ornament may look desirable by itself, but collection buffs depend on the collection's stated activation or progression conditions. Opening Collections lets you evaluate the bonus in context rather than guessing from the item name.

Owned-level markers prevent blind duplication

The level marker tells you that you already own the ornament and indicates its current level. That does not automatically make another copy good or bad. It tells you to compare an upgrade path with filling a missing collection slot.

A Practical Exchange Workflow

  1. Open Voyage to Civilizations and enter the exchange interface.
  2. List the ornaments you can realistically obtain with your current event currency.
  3. Tap each candidate to open its Collections interface.
  4. Read the displayed attribute bonuses and activation requirements.
  5. Return to Exchange and check the owned-level marker.
  6. Classify the choice as a missing piece, a level improvement, or a duplicate with no immediate collection effect.
  7. Prefer the choice that creates the strongest confirmed change for your account's current goal.
  8. Confirm the exchange only after checking currency and event time remaining.

Use a Three-Part Decision Rule

Immediate activation

Does the ornament complete a requirement or unlock a bonus now? Immediate activation is easier to value than a speculative future set.

Useful progression

If you already own the ornament, will another copy or level advance a relevant collection? Use the in-game collection page as the authority for the exact effect shown on your account.

Opportunity cost

What other ornament becomes unavailable if you spend the currency here? Compare the best alternative, not every item in the shop.

Example Choice

Candidate A is a missing ornament that completes a collection with a useful development bonus. Candidate B is an ornament you already own and can potentially improve, but the next level does not activate an immediate bonus shown in Collections.

For a player focused on near-term development, Candidate A has the clearer outcome. A combat-focused player may choose differently if Candidate B advances a relevant combat collection. The interface supplies facts; your goal supplies the priority.

Common Mistakes and Diagnosis

  • Choosing by rarity or artwork alone: Open Collections and read the actual bonus.
  • Ignoring owned-level markers: Check whether you are buying a missing piece or another copy.
  • Assuming every duplicate improves a collection: Verify the next threshold in-game.
  • Spending before checking event time: Confirm the deadline and remaining currency.
  • Using an old screenshot: Event shops and collections can change; use the current interface.

Quick Checklist

  • Candidate ornament opened in Collections.
  • Bonus and requirement read in-game.
  • Owned level checked.
  • Immediate activation compared with progression.
  • Opportunity cost identified.
  • Event currency and deadline confirmed.

FAQ

How do I see an ornament's collection bonuses?

Tap the ornament in the updated Exchange interface to open its corresponding Collections page.

Does an owned-level marker mean I should avoid the ornament?

No. It means you should verify whether another copy or level produces a useful progression outcome.

Should I always complete a collection first?

Not automatically. Compare the displayed bonus with the value of upgrading another collection aligned with your goal.

What if I cannot open the collection from Exchange?

Update the game client and reopen the event. The navigation was added with Version 5.26.0.
